For families with a history of miscarriage or currently experiencing a threatened miscarriage (spotting, cramping, pelvic pain, or abnormal discharge in the first trimester), Mind Body Birth offers care, regardless of the planned location for birth. 

This is often a time in pregnancy where women are left navigating things alone, which can make a really raw and tender time feel that much more difficult. Early pregnancy care in these instances can include: 

• blood work

• ultrasound referral

• pregnancy support with progesterone or herbal support measures

• referral to higher level care when indicated

For moms who go on to carry healthy pregnancies, sometimes the closure of our care includes discussion of their desires for birth and helping them find a care team that meets their needs. Or they may decide to continue care with Mind Body Birth for the duration of their pregnancy.
